Can love survive a murder?
Debby Randall longs for a vacation with no attachments, no pressures, no complications. Her aunt’s estate in rural New England seems just the place to unwind, and Debby goes to Beechcroft in hopes of finding some much-needed peace and quiet.
Holding court at Beechcroft is Madam Stewart, Deb’s aunt, and a famous mystery author. Her guests and servants make up quite an intriguing house party.
But of primary interest to Debby is handsome Tim Grant, Madam Stewart’s step-grandson. The unexpected romance which he offers sweetens Debby’s stay at Beechcroft until murder shatters the mood — and Debby is forced to view Tim as a prime suspect.
