Dedicated Angel

By Anthea Cohen

Agnes lives a fortunate life in London, married to crime writer Bill, but at his latest book launch, her attention is taken by another writer, Herbert Shaffer.

As their affair goes unnoticed, their relationship intensifies, and when Herbert dies suddenly just before his wife returns from America, Herbert’s secretary, Josephine Long, is left with the complicated task of revealing that Herbert has dedicated his latest book to Agnes.

In a persistent attempt to spare Bill from finding out about the affair, Agnes and Josephine agree that the dedication will be made out to Josephine instead. Due to a previous brief affair that has left her pining for Herbert ever since, Josephine is secretly thrilled at the thought that it will be made out to her instead.

Before long however, suspicions arise, particularly with Herbert’s wife, and when the truth falls into the wrong hands, Agnes finds herself subjected to blackmail…

Dedicated Angel is a surprising crime novel that leaves you constantly shocked as the plot unravels. It contains humorous elements as well as creating a closeness with the characters and their dark lives.
