WWI is looming when Claus von Hardenberg, a German aristocrat, arrives at Cambridge University. His enthusiasm for all things British leads him to embrace the myth of the English gentleman, and to fall in love with Lady Diana Winslow. But as the War erupts, Claus returns to his homeland to fight against the country he so recently adopted as his own. Will Claus return to his Diana?
