July 1977. Death is in the air…
Dr Lance Elliot’s eccentric father has been running a horticultural club at local Bensham Manor School, a good deed he decided to take on to impress his lady friend who is the head dinner lady at the school.
In order to show his support for the elder Dr Elliot’s efforts, Lance and his girlfriend Max turn up for the school’s parents evening, only for Lance – much to the consternation and irritation of Detective Inspector Masson – to once again find himself in the middle of a local killing spree, in which it seems teachers from the school are being targeted.
As well as trying to do his job as a police surgeon and local GP, Lance must not only protect Max from the attentions of his ex-brother-in-law, who has a violent vendetta against Lance, but also try to sort out his father’s disastrous love life . . .
