Heroes Without Honour

By Alan David

1939. Poland. Brothers Max and Kurt Eckhardt find themselves on the front lines as Germany invades Poland. Max; a highly disciplined SS officer, sternly brought up by his father to obey orders of Germany at all costs and Kurt; lovingly brought up on his aunt’s farm and repulsed by the suffering of war, are thrown together after years apart. With Kurt becoming increasingly disillusioned about his part in the Third Reich’s progress, they realise they have conflicting ideas about the war. Both personalities heavily collide as Europe is drawn into a bloody and merciless conflict…
