Darsham’s Folly

By John Burke

Love and secrets of the house on the seashore…

Kate, a sensible sea-captain’s daughter, is thrilled when she gets a job at Darsham’s Folly, a mysterious house that dominates the little fishing port of Senwich. She’s hired to befriend the lonely daughter of Lord Oliver Darsham after the disappearance of her mother, Lady Charlotte.

Despite his game leg and scarred face, she’s immediately attracted to her strange master and it’s not long before he asks for her hand in marriage. For a moment it seems like she could finally be happy… until the dark secrets of the house begin to menace her.

When Lady Charlotte makes a reappearance only to exit again under shocking circumstances and a horrifying discovery is made, Kate finds herself drawn into a bizarre mystery…
