Roz, a career-minded HR worker, and Sam, a successful country and western singer, are good friends. JUST good friends – who have been engaged to each other for six years.

Their sham attachment began by mutual agreement: a way of keeping the media from nosing into Sam’s private life, and stopping Roz’s Great-Aunt Ellen fretting about her great-niece’s single state. And it’s worked like a dream – until now. Because Roz wants to end the pretence. But Sam seems oddly reluctant to do so…

Pamela Fudge, born in Poole, Dorset, is an author, ghost writer and speaker, whose love of poetry initially led her to further explore her talent for creative writing.
