It was Kaleta’s wife who wanted them to move from New York to Harrisburg, a medium-sized city in Virginia.

Her loathing of him is only equalled by that of her father – who just happens to be the mayor.

The chief of police, who hates college boys on principle, is not his biggest fan, either – all of which makes it harder for him to track down the monster who has so far attacked five little children.
