Cole McKenna knew there was a time for loyalty to your friend and a time for loyalty to yourself. For a time he flirted between the two. 

Part Mimbreno Apache himself, he understood the difficulties Ulzana, his Mimbreno friend endured in a white man’s world. That was why he sided with him when trouble came.

But in a man’s life there comes the final choice – one trail or another. For Cole and Ulzana that time of choosing came and, when the blood ran, it was inevitable their paths would part, each left to pursue their own Trails of Fate.
