1890. Abbey Sinclair starts work as a companion to Henrietta Kershaw at Kerslake Hall in Yorkshire.

But just a few days after she arrives, tragedy strikes. A young girl’s body is pulled out of the lake. It is the beautiful Gladys White, just 16 years old.

Abbey soon discovers that Antony’s wife also met her tragic end in the very same lake. It seems there are many dark secrets lurking at Kerslake Hall.
