The Intimacy of Strangers

By Lynne King

Rebecca doesn’t remember anything before America. She has been told her mother died in a car crash, and that her father whisked her across the Atlantic at the tender age of eight to escape the pain of loss. But beyond these stories, her childhood is lost to her, and even though her father gives her everything she could possibly need, he can never give her the love – or the information about her past – that she so desperately craves.

Eighteen years after her mother’s death, Rebecca is told that she has been left a legacy left by her maternal grandmother. Completely surprised by the fact that she had any living relatives in England, the past comes bubbling forth, and she feels utterly betrayed by her mysteriously secretive father. Walking in on her fiancé in bed with a Brazilian model is the final straw, and Rebecca makes the decision to leave America immediately, boldly heading to England in search of her past.

But when she gets there, she finds she is not the only one seeking the truth…

Lynne King lives and works in South East England. She is an avid reader, and is the author of several thriller romances, including Run to You, To Deceive is to Love, and Chained Reaction.
