Sunstroke

By Madge Swindells

Nina Ogilvie learnt early in life that only the strong succeed.

For years, she has been just that. A successful fund manager in London, Nina’s business-savvy keeps her ahead of everybody else. But her latest deal has caused a great scandal. In its wake, false rumours about her are spreading. With her reputation on the line, her boss sends Nina off to Post-Apartheid South Africa; there she meets the elusive and alluring Wolf Moller.

Though Nina has always convinced herself to be ‘married’ to the job, Wolf intrigues her. Before she knows it, she falls head over heels in love with him. They soon marry and have a beautiful child, a little boy named Nicky. Her life becomes a fairy-tale. Only to be shattered by Wolf himself. After allegations of fraud and debt, Wolf disappears without a word, kidnapping their son. But why? Determined to find her son, Nina is plunged into a world of deception and lies…

A story of international proportions, Sunstroke delights in its espionage thrills and romantic twists. Showcasing the power of a mother’s love, Madge Swindells tells the endless depths Nina will go to find her son. For fans of Elizabeth Hilton and Jeanne Whitmee, this is a must-read.

Madge Swindells was born and educated in England. She later immigrated to South Africa where she studied archaeology and anthropology at Cape Town University. Returning to England, she was a Fleet Street journalist before becoming the manager of her own publishing company. Her first novel, Summer Harvest, was published in 1983.
