Striking a Balance

Larry and Megan have the perfect life: high-flying careers, a gorgeous house, and a son they adore.

Then, instead of a promotion, Larry loses his job, and it all comes crashing down.

Megan, who already feels guilty about working too much and not spending enough time with her son, becomes the sole bread-winner.

At first Larry thinks he’ll find a new job in a week, but when that doesn’t happen, he stays home annoying Ruth, the nanny, until she quits.

And then, after spending more time with his son, he decides he wants to stay at home permanently, turning down a job offer.

Megan feels like she’s been alienated from her son because of her work and that it’s unfair of Larry to expect her to support him.

Resentment begins to brew and Larry feels as if every time Megan mentions her job, she’s rubbing in his failure to find work.

Larry and Megan want to make their marriage succeed, but they don’t know how to work through their differences.

Can Larry embrace the role of house husband and father, or will he sink into suburban despair?

And can Megan find a way of Striking a Balance between her work and spending time with her family?
