Secret Kills
By William Hallstead
Crime reporter Dan Forrest is after a story to raise the tone of his scandal sheet, NewsLeak.
He and the tabloid’s female scandal columnist, Corkie Brion, find a tenuous link between two incidents Dan is covering-the bombing of New York’s Penn Station and the ‘suicide’ of Oscar-winning screen star, Marguerite Falconer.
Unwillingly teamed with fat Corkie, Dan is sent to wintertime Washington to investigate, and they are plunged headlong into an international plot that is to cost more lives-and quite possibly their own.
