Pals War: Passchendaele

By A. A. G. Whitehead

Daniel Byrne and his Knaves are back, continuing their exemplary work in the field as World War I marches on. The Knaves, a Special Operations Unit, have learned that their counterpart in the German Army – the infamous Death Eagles – have planned to kidnap Dr. Chaim Weizmann, the scientist who has found a way to synthesize acetone, the key component in cordite. Byrne saves the scientist, but there is no rest for the weary in wartime.

After they foil the kidnapping of Dr. Weizmann, they are posted to the front in Ypres to continue the growth of the salient. Sent behind enemy lines again and again, the Knaves, under the brilliant leadership of Daniel Byrne, fight for their country – and their lives. Finding ways to foil increasingly dangerous plots is their specialty.

Based in the events of the battles surrounding Passchendaele during World War I, this novel is an action-packed epic of the bravery, comradery, and sheer grit that a specialized military unit puts into play.

This is the fourth instalment in the gripping Pals War military adventure series.

Andy Whitehead was born in the West Riding of Yorkshire. He originally trained in the engineering sector. After a brief move to the Algarve he returned to the UK and joined the Fire Service. Towards the end of his twenty-six year career he started to utilise his active imagination to fuel his writing.
