Noble Deeds
By Christine Marion Fraser
Spring 1893 brings many changes to the village of Corran, not least for Anna McIntyre.
Now a young woman, she is free from her father, Roderick’s, brutal regime, and has started a new life as companion to the lovely Lady Pandora of Noble House. Sadly, though, Anna’s happiness is not to last …
Because, when Iron Rod McIntyre fails to fetch the price he expected for his hardworking daughter, he wants her back where she belongs. And although Anna and her brothers, Magnus and Adam, try to make the best of things at home, Roderick draws his band of repression ever tighter.
Then, at last, comes a ray of hope, and a chance to confront the bullying Roderick once and for all…
