Verity Vernon thought everything was falling into place when she set up her own garden design business with two of her close friends. But then she met Paul Blackwood and everything went wrong. Verity was head-over-heels and didn’t realise that Paul was embezzling money from the business. Now Paul has gone, her friends have opted out, and she has had to rely on her parents to bankroll her so that she can keep it going. And she is determined to make a success of things so that she can pay them back.
But a rival company – The Garden Trug – is threatening to take all her business. That is, until Jake Thornton, the new owner of March Place, offers her the contract to design the garden belonging to his estate. Verity gets stuck in and starts to believe she can make a success of things. But sparks start to fly between her and Jake, and their budding romance starts to interfere with her work…
