Divorcee Jenny decides to go on holiday to Spain with her children and her best friend, Charmain, who’s a full-blown alcoholic.

Though she leaves her lover James behind, Jenny secretly harbours hope of meeting up with Luis, who she has loved from afar for so long.

But as the troupe of travellers approach Luis’ hometown of Gerona, it becomes clear all is not well.

Charmain’s family – including her lover, Norman, who has joined them instead of her wealthy husband – can’t seem to keep out of trouble.

Meanwhile Luis has another love, the alluring artist Montserrat.
