When ex-Vietnam veteran Washington T. Diamond quits working as racketeer Leon Greco’s ‘enforcer’, he and his nightclub singer girlfriend Chelsea are drawn into a web of danger. 

Greco exerts a vicious reprisal, but Diamond receives support from Cave, a police detective, who sets him up as a private investigator.

But Cave is only using Diamond as a pawn to bring down Greco’s empire.

Diamond becomes the bait when Greco takes out a contract on him, and he needs all his jungle experience to stay alive…

Sydney James Bounds was an English author. He wrote over forty novels and hundreds of short stories, many published under pseudonyms or anonymously. He was best known for his science fiction, but also wrote horror, Westerns, mysteries and juveniles. Starting in 2007 his name has been honoured by the British Fantasy Awards’ Sydney J. Bounds Best Newcomer Award (a revival of the earlier Icarus and Newcomer Awards), which is sponsored and funded by his estate.
