Dead Ahead

Robert Mackie, the thirty-five year old Managing Director of a leading toy factory in Yorkshire, is holidaying in the Cornish fishing village Candlecombe when he sees somebody throw a dead body over the sea cliff. Reporting it to the police, they investigate and find that the body has disappeared and in its place is one of the dolls belonging to Mackie’s company. Now a suspect and knowing he is being followed, Mackie does not trust the intentions of Detective Superintendent Cawthorne. Instead, he uses his own methods to decipher strange clues and solve the mystery as he tries to untangle himself from a crime he did not commit…
