Case for Compensation (Alistair Duncan Book 1)
By Douglas Stewart
When Roger Goodhart is made wheelchair-bound by a nasty road accident, there’s only one place to turn…
Alistair Duncan, a cut-and-thrust Bristol solicitor, takes on him claim.
But the more he investigates, the more mysterious it becomes: how did a French juggernaut come to crush Roger’s car?
He travels to France where, with the help of the beautiful Hélène, he pursues the lorry driver.
It’s a violent, dangerous job, but Alistair thinks it’s worth it.
Then, a High Court Judge reports him to the Law Society for alleged misconduct, and as the web of lies tightens, can Alistair make this case for compensation work in his favour?
Douglas Stewart did not start writing professionally until he had become an international lawyer. Ever since, he has juggled writing with legal issues in the UK and USA before taking early retirement, giving him more time to focus on writing. After a stint in Las Vegas, he is now back in Europe where he lives with his wife. Case for Compensation is the first of three novels involving Bristol solicitor Alistair Duncan.
