White Lines

By Mel Stein

A failed drugs test. A hostile bidding war. A risky game being played.

Ex-footballer turned private investigator Mark Rossetti is back, and he is torn between investigating a dramatic TV rights bidding war, and dealing with English football’s young star Barry Reed, who swears he hasn’t cheated despite a shock failed drugs test.

Meanwhile sports mogul Nathan Carr is determined not to lose out again to his former business partner, and as the bidding war escalates into open hostility Mark begins to realise that football isn’t the only risky game being played…

White Lines is a fast-moving insight into the cut-and-thrust of football on and off the pitch from Mel Stein, Paul Gascoigne’s business manager, a treat no fan will want to miss.

Mel Stein was born in London and has two children, boys aged five and three, both of whom are fully paid-up members of the Newcastle United Supporters Club. His main interest is Newcastle United but in his spare time, he is a partner in a firm of Westminster solicitors. His other novels include Danger Zone.
