Married to Medicine

Doctor Linda Shelton was content with life. 

She loved working at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Redford and got on well with her colleagues. So much so, some of her colleagues were living as boarders in her parents’ house … the house which, following the death of her father, her mother, Mavis, had converted and opened up to doctors in need of accommodation.

At the age of twenty-seven, and being satisfied with her life, Linda had no desire to settle down and get married. She didn’t need a man in her life, and her friends quite often teased that she was married to medicine. Linda didn’t mind. In many ways it was true and it wasn’t a bad thing.

But when a new boarder turns up at the house, Linda’s life is transformed. Dr. Martin Crossley is a man out to further his career. Similar to Linda, women rarely received his time or attention. But taking up a new position at St. Margaret’s Hospital, Martin takes up residence at Linda’s house shortly before her mother’s personal life is thrown into chaos.

As the rumours spread, Stella, a fellow doctor, does all she can to capture Martin’s attention. After all … her attempts have always succeeded, and Martin was no different. Or so she thought…
