Lily
By Yarah David
The path of a jet set misfit was never going to be easy! From Edinburgh to the French Alps, Lily is a pacy, permissive, old-fashioned romance.
Resigned to the boredom and artistic obscurity of a menial job in a small art gallery in Edinburgh, Lily is bowled over when she is introduced to Jake Bevin (a man as indecently attractive as he is wealthy) and jumps at the chance to accompany him on a glamorous skiing trip to the French Alps…
What follows – a far cry from her rose-tinted visions of passionate clinches on snow banked balconies – is an inexorable slide down the slippery slopes of St Martin de Belleville as Lily attempts to navigate the furious one-upmanship and emotional merry-go-round of her new group of friends.
Yarah David was born in 1972. She grew up in the Wye Valley and now lives near Bath. Since graduating from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art she has worked as an Interior Designer. Lily is her first novel.
